Shorter meltdowns.
Calmer kids.
Calmer you.
Your child can't regulate big feelings alone — they borrow their calm from you. The Big Feelings Bundle gives you the tools to offer it, and gives them the language to ask for it.
Get the Bundle — R149 →Why it works
Most feelings resources only teach the child. We teach everyone in the room.
Your child cannot regulate big emotions alone — their nervous system borrows stability from the adults around them. That's not a theory; it's how the developing brain works. Every page in this bundle is built for both sides of the moment: play-based, CBT-informed activities your child will actually reach for, plus clear, word-for-word guidance for whoever is holding the moment with them — whether that's a parent, a gogo, an aunt, or a teacher.
The Name It, Feel It, Calm It Method
Name It
Identify the feeling and where it lives in the body. Naming shrinks the storm before it explodes.
Feel It
Validate without shame. One sentence of acknowledgment before any instruction. This is the step every other resource skips.
Calm It
Only now — after the body has been heard — is the nervous system ready to receive a tool. Then we use one.
The Big Feelings Bundle
Three tools. One method. Built for South African families.
Three skills your child keeps for life
What's inside
Name It
Body-mapping activities, a feelings thermometer, and vocabulary tools help your child put words to what's happening inside — the first step that shrinks every big emotion.
Ages 3–12Feel It
Validation scripts, creative outlets, and caregiver-facing language teach your child that all feelings are allowed — while giving you the words to say so without escalating the moment.
All caregiversCalm It
Breathing tools, body-movement releases, thought-flipping worksheets, and decision trees — one tool for each age band, each situation, each type of big feeling.
Anxiety & AngerFrom SA families
Early readers say
"My 7-year-old grabbed the coping card during load shedding — completely in the dark — and asked to do the breathing together. I didn't have to say a word. That's never happened before."
Nompumelelo M., Durban
"I'm raising my grandchildren and I didn't think something like this would speak to me. But the scripts are exactly what I needed to say instead of just telling them to stop crying. It works."
Thembi K., Soweto
"The Anger Kit is the first thing that's actually worked for my 10-year-old. The iceberg diagram made him say 'oh, so I wasn't angry, I was actually embarrassed.' He figured that out himself."
Riaan V., Cape Town
"Worth R149 for the load shedding section alone. We live in an area with stage 6 all the time and my daughter was waking up screaming when the power cut at night. We haven't had that in three weeks."
Ayanda D., Johannesburg
Why this exists
This was built because what was already out there wasn't built for us.
Every resource I could find came from abroad, assumed a nuclear family, used dollar prices, and had never heard of load shedding. I'm South African. The children I work with are South African. Their anxiety triggers are specific, their caregivers are diverse, and they deserve a resource that actually recognises them.
The Big Feelings Bundle uses the same CBT and DBT frameworks that international research supports — but every activity, every example, every safety reference, and every support number is built for this country, this context, and these children.
Made with care, for SA families.
Why this one finally works
Three things every other feelings resource leaves out
It's built for whoever is doing the caring
Whether you're a parent, a gogo, a teacher, or a guardian, the language and scripts work for you. Not once does this bundle assume the adult reading it fits a single mould.
It addresses what actually stresses SA children
Load shedding anxiety. Long school commutes. Extended family transitions. GBV exposure in the broader community. These aren't covered by any imported resource. They're covered here.
It gives you a shared language, not a homework pile
Every activity takes under 10 minutes. Nothing requires a desk or a quiet Saturday. The tools are designed to be used in the car, after supper, during load shedding, at bedtime — in your actual life.
Your child borrows their calm from you.
That's why we built this for both of you. A regulated caregiver is the most powerful tool in the house — and now you have words for the hard moments.

Questions
Frequently asked
What ages is this for?
The bundle covers ages 3 to 12, with each kit divided into three age bands: 3–5 (toddler & preschool), 6–8 (early elementary), and 9–12 (tween & pre-teen). The caregiver guide works at every age.
Is this a physical book or a download?
It's a digital download — instant access to printable PDFs the moment you pay. Print at home on A4, view on a tablet, or save to your phone. No shipping, no waiting, no waste.
I'm a gogo raising grandchildren. Is this for me?
Yes, specifically. Every script and activity in this bundle is written for whoever is doing the caring — parent, gogo, aunt, older sibling, or guardian. The language doesn't assume a nuclear family, and the Ubuntu section is for you.
My child hates worksheets. Will this work?
Most of the activities aren't worksheets — they're conversations, card activities, breathing games, and body-movement exercises. Children typically don't experience these as "school." The ones that do have writing are optional and age-appropriate.
Does this replace therapy?
No, and it doesn't try to. It uses the same CBT and DBT-informed approaches that many therapists teach, but it's a caregiver-led daily-practice resource. If your child needs professional support, please reach out to SADAG (0800 567 567) or Childline SA (116). Both are free.
How long before I see a difference?
Most caregivers notice shorter, less intense meltdowns within the first week — often after the first time they use a script or a coping card correctly. Lasting self-regulation builds with consistent practice over four to six weeks.
We have load shedding constantly. Is there anything for that?
Yes — the Anxiety Kit includes a dedicated six-page "When the Lights Go Out" section: understanding load shedding anxiety, building a calm kit, creating a load shedding routine, and a breathing technique specifically for sudden darkness. Nothing else on the market covers this.
Can I use this for more than one child?
Absolutely. Once you've downloaded the PDFs, print as many times as you need for every child in your home or classroom. One purchase covers your whole family or class, forever.
The real promise
Give your child the tools. Give yourself the words.
Imagine the next meltdown ending in minutes — not because you finally snapped, but because you knew exactly what to say, and your child reached for something that actually helped. That's what this bundle was built for: shorter storms, faster repair, and a calmer home that compounds week after week.

— Lesego M., Pretoria
"The Ubuntu cards in the Confidence deck made my daughter cry in the best way. She said 'so my family makes me braver?' Yes. Yes it does."
— Fatima A., Cape Town
